Andrew, Katrina, John, and I took a trip last Sunday.
The goal was to drink General Sherman IPA beer at the General Sherman Tree.
Here, John, and I are practicing for the upcoming event. Acura Backseats were comfy. no complaints. We were also able to have an icechest full of beer between us, so thats nice.
John brought his skateboard.
Getting some good ol' fresh mountain air to the face.
Made some stops along the way to enjoy the views, and take some pictures. I believe this is where John accidentally knocked Andrews lens down the hill. Forever proclaimed by the wilderness.
Then we made it!
SHERMAN @ SHERMAN
It is truly a massive tree.
Won't be the last time I catch these two in the act.
Andrew was our Chauffeur for the day. Quite nice of him.
Even though I was wearing some Asics GelBlur33 running shoes, I wanted to skate too.
Some quality action shots right here.
Little walk up to Panoramic point.
Andrew and Katrina Shooooooot

Great time with this gang. This was also the height of drunkyness.
Smashed by a mother fucking rock.

SHERMAN @ SHERMAN
Here goes.
It was John, Kyle, and myself. Went up in John's Subaru.
Started the morning off right with Rush hour, espresso beer.
Just regular ol' weather driving up
Then we start seeing snow.
AND BOOM! Snow
Like, snow snow.
so, of course.
So, the road was closed to general Sherman, so we set out on foot, did some exploring, found some icicles.
Nice creek.
Nice group photo.
Sisters trees.
Inside a giant sequoia.
Just all around fun adventuring.
Inside a tree.
found a great outlook.
We found a lake.
They wound't rent us a kayak or anything since we weren't part of some womans conference. So we wondered around some more, no snow on this grass.
We then got word that the road had opened, so we headed back that direction.
Almost there.
BOOYAH
A nice gentleman who was all about what we were doing, offered to take some pictures for us.
We were even able to hug the lovable giant.
What a wonderful day.
