"The turned oak base comes from an old bourbon fermentation tank (where the yeast breaks down the sugar in the mash converting it to alcohol and carbon dioxide over a period of three days). Basically, this wood has soaked up a lot of bourbon over the years. The base is left unfinished and traces of the tank wall remain. The lamp has a fabric covered cord with dimmer switch. Each one is hand made."

That (beautiful things) was the head line for a craigslist ad. Within it was (among other items) three mirrors for $20. Its pretty tough to find one mirror for that price, so I went and picked them up. We will be painting them. But in the mean time they are hanging out.
