Booyah!!!
I've already been planning my upgrade for a little bit now, can't deny it after service pack 1. I am just getting things in order to do so.
This is a pretty awesome deal done up by Windows. People are idiots.
According to a report, Microsoft isn't just looking at the next version of Windows (no, not Mojave) for future OS possibilities, but is looking beyond the Windows architecture altogether with a project known as Midori. The new OS is still in the "incubation" phase (which puts it slightly closer to market than R&D projects), but Microsoft has admitted to its existence, and the Software Daily Times says at least one team in Redmond is actively working on the new architecture.
The basis for the platform centers around research related to Microsoft's Singularity project, and envisions a distributed environment where applications, documents, and connectivity are blurred in a cloud-computing phantasmagoria which can be run natively or hosted across multiple systems. The researchers are working to create a concurrent / parallel distribution of resources, as well as a method of handling applications across separate machines -- religiously-dubbed the Asynchronous Promise Architecture -- which will set the stage for a backwards-compatible operating system built from the ground up, with networks of varying size in mind. Says the SD Times, "The Midori documents foresee applications running across a multitude of topologies, ranging from client-server and multi-tier deployments to peer-to-peer at the edge, and in the cloud data center. Those topologies form a heterogeneous mesh where capabilities can exist at separate places."

Speaking about the simpsons.
Here is a Simpsons pinball machine. There is a video there too of the machine in action.
Dream Team.
While I worked at Guitar Center during my time in the "Warehouse" position. It was a slow day, my good buddy John Blalock whom I worked with and celebrated infinity with was working to my side on a one man job, I a little bored was on the "Green Screen" computer system that Guitar Center had. I was in the dot look-up for vendors and repair centers, just messing around I typed in "Crack." What came up has forever changed my life.
Goodlord, how funny is that name. Dorfus Cracktractor!! Unmatched.
I use to prank call people under that name sometimes. I could rarely keep a straight voice, I would usually laugh or somethin'... Just from sayin' it.
I was in borders once looking at vegetarian cook books, and BOOM... I see this.
Holy crap!!! What is that? Both name wise and person wise. She looks like the head of the neighborhood watch and PTA on Full House!
Crescent Dragonwagon and Dorfus Cracktractor need to join forces! They need to take on North Korea. It would be an epic battle.
Much like this one
Also, my friend Brooke went to school with a dude named Gregor Greg Gregorian, kid you not. Wow. Jake said he would fight crime by throwing "G's" at people. I agree.
Marcia Wallace not only was head of neighborhood watch and the PTA on full house, but she has been on Bewitched, Columbo, The Bob Newhart Show , The Castaways on Gilligan's Island, Magnum, P.I., Alf!!!
and
she does the voice of Edna Krabappel on the Simpsons!!!!! whoa.

Justice runway show.
With the beats of ultra-popular French electronic duo Justice setting the tone in the background, the Kris Van Assche led 2009 spring/summer collection was previewed back in June at the Paris Observatory.
Upper Playground x adidas Originals Stan Smith: Aesop Rock
In Upper Playground’s whirlwind of releases done in collaboration with adidas, this month’s third volume features hip-hop artist Aesop Rock. For Aesop Rock, his design features inspirations lingering from his album of last year, None Shall Pass. The faded green and gold scheme is reminiscent of the album art and maintained on an unmarked upper. Keeping it similar to previous releases, the Aesop Rock Stan Smiths will be available on Thursday, July 31st at Upper Playground flagship stores as well as online at 8:00 am PT at UpperPlayground.com.

Rick: When was the last time you ate an Apple?
Jessica: Ummm like three months ago!
Rick: Yeah. Its been awhile for me. Like maybe ten months ago.
Jessica: I was actually thinking about going to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to buy a cheesecake candy apple.
Rick: You just blew my mind. Wow. I say do it.
Jessica: You know what I am! What are you doing this weekend...Do you work?
Rick: Yeah working now and all weekend. I officially dislike working here. Its so slow and pointless. I turned in two resumes yesterday, and I'm going to try and squeeze two more today, I might run out of time though.
Jessica: Run out of time for what?
Rick: Going to the places. One closes at 5. And I get off at 4.
Jessica: O I see. I wish I get off at five. I want a new job too.
Rick: Girl, you've been there so long, you might as well retire there... Thats only like 3 more years anyway. You started in 1991 right?!
Jessica: No. No. No. '93... I was five when I started.
Rick: Oh thats right. 7 years from retirement may seem long, but maybe worth it. How is your 401K, and portfolio?

Nerve Design Quiz: Test Your Knowledge.
I took this quiz. I got 11 out of 20.. this is what they said about me.
You got 11 out of 20 correct.
You're a Tasteful Trend Watcher. You've got a copy of Metropolis magazine on your Design Within Reach coffee table, a MacBook on your Ralph Lauren four-post bed and an area rug from the high-end of Target. Your clothes are vintage, or from Perry Ellis, Ben Sherman, Diesel or Betsy Johnson. You're thinking of trading in your Mini Cooper for something equally green. You've been saving up for an iPhone, and wondering if you're too old to pull off a Von Dutch cap. You're not too old, my friend — wear it with those patterned Chucks high-tops.
I don't know about all this Macbook and iPhone jibba-jabba, nor do I approve of me ever wearing a Von Dutch cap or Chuck high-tops. I have more style than that, plus I don't support Nike.

If you have any interest in Kubrick I would definitely suggest watching this, it’s quite insightful.

Half Awake and Half Asleep with Asako Narahashi
Yossi Milo continues to knock 'em out of the park; there's an opening and book signing at the gallery tonight in Chelsea for Asako Narahashi's water series.
These calm me. I was so riled by those bulls.
From the press release:
Asako Narahashi's series half awake and half asleep in the water is a collection of C-Prints of various coastal sites in Japan. Since beginning the project in 2001, the artist has photographed over fifty locations with a Nikonos 35mm waterproof film camera.
Jonanjima, C-Print, 2002
Narahashi floats chest deep in the ocean while facing back towards the shore, her camera held half-submerged in the water. By watching the waves without using the viewfinder, the artist times her pictures according to the swells of the ocean tide.
Momochi, C-Print, 2003
Mekari, C-Print, 2004
From this vantage point, waves washing against the lens of the camera create unexpected relationships between water, land and sky. With the water in the extreme foreground, the ocean dominates the view and distorts the customary perspectives of bridges, airplanes, buildings and mountains. The images are suspended in moments of uncertainty, leaving conflicting sensations of calm and growing apprehension unresolved.
Yunohama, C-Print 2004
Asako Narahashi was born in 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. She began experimenting with photography in the mid-1980s.
Alexandra Cassaniti Summer 2008 Sunglasses
We’ve all bared witness to the revival of the Ray Ban Wayfarer and Oakley Frogskins, and deservingly so, they are classics in their own right. Pushing the envelope on the classic frames are the Alexandra Cassaniti “Face It” sunglasses, featuring silver mirrored lenses with geometric patterns, and a frame that changes to the color purple depending on the intensity of light. Available now at cmonwealth.com.
Their website is worth checking out with an ad campaign directed by Spike Jonze.
Invest in the WU.
We’ve seen plenty of Ghostface collaborations in the past, but few have been authorized by the Wu-Tang member himself. Hoodman Clothing & Design teamed up with Ghost and the Theodore Unit for the past several months to produce 2 limited edition tees. The first is the “718”, which brings back the vile from “The Big Doe Rehab” and the Staten Island skyline of the Verrazano Bridge. “718″ represents all of New York City’s outer-boroughs. “Bring Da Ruckus” is the second tee, featuring an original Ghostface photo. The back displays the first verse and track from the Wu-Tang Clan’s first album, 36 Chambers. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since hip-hop heads first heard, “Ghostface, catch the blast of a hype verse!” A limited run will be sold on Hoodman.tv and will also be available at select Hoodman accounts.

Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Belgian brewer InBev agrees to buy US-based Anheuser-Busch for over 50 billion dollars; if successful, the merged firm would surpass SABMiller as the world's largest brewing company.
That means now The largest American Owned Brewer is Pabst Brewery!!! The one the only.
I always choose PBR over other beers for the power to immaculately meet my qualifications for deliciousness, affordability, and prestige. So now knowing its the last remaining American owned brewery is like an added bonus. Now as far as seeing it on a can, or case of the beer. I'm really quite happy with the existing packaging, but I must say adding a little flare to alert the consumer never hurt anyone. Either way, I will continue to enjoy the greatest american beer ever. Pabst Blue Ribbon!

My friends B-day is coming up.
I was thinking about getting him this.
Maybe some of these figurines.
Or
Or an Isuzu Gemini
Or maybe something to make the Atheist with.
Or go with the ol' standby.
