It all started on 01.11.07 It all ended 01.18.07
I went to Bakersfield on Friday the eleventh for the weekend. I wanted to support my three friends that were going to be leaving that town for good. Friday was a cool night, had a chance to see tow of my friends new place that they got together which was nice. Then Saturday the twelfth JohnL and I decide to construct a beer bong. We head on over to The Home Depot and buy all of our components. We had to boil some water to get the tubing to stretch over the valve and funnel, what we had was pretty great.
We spent the rest of the day and night over at JohnL, it was a pretty fun time.
Woke up Sunday, this was the day Kyle and Steven were going to leave for Torrance. For some crazy ass reason I decide "hey I don't have anything to do, I'm going to go too." So I go over to their house and wait for them to get some last minute things together. I started to have some doubts because of their lack of funds going into this, but for some reason I stuck it out with my decision to go.
Those were sorta just into the grape vine, I was pretty stuffed in the back. But then something magical happened, kyle opened his window. I automatically knew I had made a good decision. The air was so nice, so refreshing. The weather was southern California weather in January (Perfect at 72 degrees.)
these next pictures are more getting into the city of Angeles.
This was the hotel... See that blank spot in front of the bed, thats where I slept. That floor is by far the hardest I've ever felt.
Alright so whatever. Kyle and Steven spent all their money on this hotel room for a week. They don't have a whole lot of food, but they are under the impression they get paid every week, and think they can get an advancement and whatnot.
The next day 01.14.07
They wake up early for their first day of training/orientation. I slept in a little and decide one of the major reasons I went down was to see the god damn Ocean, right? So I figure using my advance self system of directional geographazational skills or (ASSDGS, thats right ASSDGS, pronounced ASS Diggs) ((I actually just came up with that, I don't even really like it. Whatever)) MOVING ON.
I wrote from here to the end of the day on some coffee filters. Go ahead and read off of these.
and here are pictures I took on that adventure...
I pretty much had a low key blast on these brick gaps.
I was like, well my board doesn't look like that, so I kept on skating.
Saw this in the less attractive area of long beach where the medical clinic was.
Then the rest of the fucking week sucked, I was so bored. I started thinking about things I don't like thinking about, then getting sad. found a waxed ledge at this wal-mart behind the hotel, but I could only skate it after midnight according to the security, which I did once. A television with only 30 channels, no money to eat or go anywhere, no major transportation. Not really any food. I let Kyle and Steven borrow $40 for gas and food. Finally they got a sort of pay advance so they paid me back and I pretty much wanted to leave.
I went with only this stuff, One extra shirt, jeans, socks, boxers for a week.
I called up Greyhound to see what was up, they had a 8:15p.m. on friday from Long beach to Fresno, but it had a four hour layover in downtown l.a. So I said fuck it, I'll just go to the d-town L.a. one at 12:45, so I get there at 11:30 and the 12:45 is sold out, so I buy a ticket for the next one which is at 2:10a.m. So there I am waiting at the downtown L.a. greyhound terminal for nearly 3 hours, luckily the new "skateboarder" magazine has quite the articles in it. So finally get on the bus, 6 hours later I am in Fresno, the bus ride was pretty uncomfortable at times. Then once in Fresno I skated from the downtown greyhound station to my apartment. It was really cold outside.

Worlds cheapest car !
"Tata" is the auto manufacture. The model is "Nano."
The price in American dollars is $2500 for the standard. It includes No air conditioning, no power steering, no passenger side mirror, and only One window wiper (drivers side of course.) There is a luxury edition it comes with both side mirrors, power locks, and air conditioning. I believe it has a 34 horsepower engine, that goes from 0 - 43 mph in 14 seconds. It can achieve 51 mpg city and 64 mpg in city.
Luxury
Standard
Pretty cool if you ask me, I like the look. I'm a huge fan of small cars, always have been. My first car had no power steering, its no big deal. I had a two ton American truck for god sakes, this is a small auto. Radio is not necessary. My car right now had no stereo, there is other means of getting musical pleasure. If I can quote Chris Rock "Fuck the passenger, they didn't pay all this money for this riiiiiide." I hope they are able to bring this auto to the states, even though it will have to go through a horrible safety bulk up with air bags and what not, so price will be a little more, but seems to be the talk of the town at the moment.

Lakai Spring 08
You have to go to www.lakai.com and check out all of the collections, and new spring 08 products. I was amazed at the depth the art dump and everyone at lakai went into for these great ideas.
These are some of my faves.
The amazing detail, sand trap on the right insole, put both insoles together there is the hole. It comes with a golf ball for goodness sakes !!!
EMB
They are even doing a recycled line of shoes, not one is alike.
They have some great T-shirts and socks too
I think the Lakai open house is better, but this one is still great.
